as you’re running around the track I wonder why I’m doing math behind my back all the other people wish I’d held it all like you wish I could do the things you do I lived in the evil sun sets into blue makes way for the moon days change and I do too I do as you’re running around the track I’m out here in the middle lying on my back and I really love you something strange came over me when I realized you could see that I felt like crying days ebb and flow we come and we go like Sarah said like Sarah said like Sarah

Glue 04:32
Buddy likes to draw all by himself in his room Buddy likes to sing he writes his own little tunes Buddy wants to be a comic book artist someday they said he could be anything he wants to be but he can’t move stuck in bed it feels just like glue Buddy takes a pill to send all the bad thoughts away his mother says it will bring back the boy that she raised but he can’t move stuck in bed it feels just like glue in his head it feels just like glue

Tired 03:51
so who to call when finally your heart just stops you always leave the door a little open your will is strong it's fraying but it's still not gone please let me help you make it better I know you're tired you've got oceans underneath your eyes fill them up with oil so you can turn the lights out and you're not the same you think you are but you have changed a year ago you felt a little closer the weight you lost proud to see yourself so small the mirror tugs at you a little harder and I know she lied and it took away your will to try I promise you will find love with many others
7.
Anyway 05:20
anyway I will always be your friend I know that anyway for in a way really nothing ever ends but you know that anyway I heard you say that you circled round the bend alone in a day but anyway I will always be your friend now I know
8.
a dog is barking in the alley as a siren passes by I think it’s nice that you still love me but I start to wonder why it seems like every time we have a conversation I just talk about myself so I’m trying really hard to keep my mouth shut ‘cause you only want to help you said you got a funny feeling how I sounded on the phone I was really hoping that you wouldn’t notice I’m just better off alone and now I really want to tell you how I’m doing but I think I’ll be too much and I know that I won’t stay this way forever it’s just hard without the drugs but I think I’m getting better yeah I think I’m getting better sounding like a broken record you tell me you don’t like the tone of voice I’m using when I’m talking to myself that you’d never catch me saying awful shit like that to anybody else and now you’re saying there’s no reason to be sorry it’s okay to need a friend and now I’m feeling mighty selfish that we’re doing this again but I think I’m getting better yeah I think I’m getting better sounding like a broken record

Sept. 1 05:35
it’s the first of September but I remember you as a boy all style and swagger your smile brought nothing but joy pull up to my place in your cigarette freedom mobile tell me to hop in drive through America’s fields do you even remember do you even remember now oh it feels like forever yeah it feels like forever now well time’s done its work friend your face looks as old as mine your voice hasn’t changed but something is gone from your eyes do you even enjoy this do you even enjoy this now when the truck hit your body did you wish you were bending down do you know that I love you do you know that I love you still do you know that you’re worth it do you know who it is you kill it’s the first of September but I remember you as a boy

Last Year 06:35

Creature 07:13
beneath the dying palms he’s lying down upon the hot concrete he thinks he’ll end it all the pavement’s melting underneath his feet and all alone the creature stands all alone although with friends the seething writhing kind he never wanted it to be this way you won’t believe his mind his hair is falling out and turning grey so old the creature stands so old his back it bends his hands are getting cold he finds it funny hiding from the sun he’s got a heart of gold but he’s a devil with that silver tongue so small the creature stands so small and yet a man can’t feel his mother’s eyes they’ve nearly sunken into deep despair her garden grew so high she had no choice but to just stay right there so cracked the creature’s hands so cracked they never mend he starts to fade away he’s talking quickly to get to the end the band begins to play but all he hears is how it could have been I’m lost the creature cries so lost though hard I try I’m lost the creature cries so lost
